Pont du Landar in Lavaux region was a typical “condition assessment before maintenance work” mission. The main focus was lying on the detection of contaminated regions on the bridge deck.
Our analysis showed different regions with a potential higher corrosion risk, especially in the approach zone to the roundabout. Local openings in the highlighted areas confirmed the presence of light surface corrosion on the rebars, while no corrosion process could be observed in the remaining areas. Consequently, the initially planned total resurfacing of the deck could be avoided, resulting in an accelerated intervention time and important cost savings.
