We perform our studies out most of GPR models available on the market. We offer two main types of analysis : chloride contamination within reinforced concrete structures, as well as map of disorders within masonry or concrete.
Estimating the chloride content of a structure is done via the calculation of the concrete conductivity. The analysis are completed with probing ; between 2 to 4 probes are required during measurement, for data calibration. Then the results are compared with our database to assess the level of contamination of the structure.
In the following example we present three bridges with increasing levels of contamination from left to right.
Maps of sealing defects allow the identification of infiltration area or weak points within a bridge deck. These maps locate the amount of air present beneath the sealing, we hypothesize that the presence of air indicates weakness. These maps correlate with contamination maps, this corroborate the location of contamination sources.
The thickness maps allow the conformity assessment of the structures and to identify thinner areas ; these areas will be affected faster by corrosion.
Defect mapping winthin masonry structures is done first on each radar profile. We use codes of shapes and colors to identify the type and the intensity of the defects.
Once every profile assessed, we map the interpretations; this allows the identification of defect clusters and caracterise them. Then we calculate defects densities within the structure and monitor the filling during injections.
